The Chariot

The Chariot

Description

The Chariot is a Major Tarot Card with a picture of a man on a chariot. Two opposite-colored animals are pulling the chariot. The animals don’t have reins to guide them. This signifies that the rider has confidence in the animals. The two different colors signify that in spite of the events pulling the chariot, the rider is confident of a favorable outcome. There is also the opposite card i.e. The Chariot Reversed which is also explained below for the benefit of our readers.

The Chariot in an Upright Position

This card in an upright position signifies:

  • Triumph
  • Movement
  • Directed willpower
  • Confidence

When reading Tarot Cards, this card signifies that it’s time for you to move forward in confidence. Forget the past and focus on things ahead. Even if you are faced with more than one direction to choose from, investigate each of the options and move forward. With time you will get clarity of your path. The card is silently cheering you on telling you that you can do this so long as you stay focused.

When it comes to work and career, the Chariot shows you a change in career or work position. If you have been thinking about starting a new venture, now would be a perfect time. You may also get an offer for a promotion or a new more fulfilling job. Don’t turn the new opportunity down. When it comes to love, the Chariot may appear when you have just ended a relationship. In such a scenario, the card denotes that this phase will pass, and you will emerge better and stronger.

In finances, the Chariot may signify more money coming your way. It also warns against spending your money too quickly as an unprepared financial need may come up soon. Health wise, the Chariot signifies that if you are currently facing ill health, you are strong enough to endure it. Though you may not get better immediately, you will recover.

The Chariot in the Reversed Position

The Chariot in a reversed position depicts:

  • Overconfidence
  • Lack of confidence
  • Stagnancy
  • Failure
  • Defeat
  • Out of control

When this card appears in reverse position, it shows that you are lacking control of your life. However, it lets you know that you can still fix your situation by taking the time to figure out the challenges and fixing them. The card may also signify that you are too overconfident, and you moving ahead without a plan can be your downfall. In love, a reversed Chariot card may show competition between the two of you and constant conflicts. You shouldn’t let yourself be dragged into things you don’t like, rather take some time off and reflect on where the relationship is going.

If you feel like your life is out of control, the Chariot in reverse is a wake up call that you need to check the loose edges, work on them, and take control of your destiny. This card in reverse reminds you that you have the Strength to gain control even if currently things may not be going too well for you.
